49km away: Southtripping to Toledo’s Hinulawan Festival

I went on a 3-day vacation in Toledo last week in time for its Hinulawan Festival. I’ve never been in Toledo for so long and I was excited while I was packing up my things for another adventure. I went there with my colleagues and stayed in Sheen’s place for the rest of the vacation. Having four of my colleagues living in Toledo City is an advantage for this trip because our foods and accommodation is already guaranteed. Our transportation expenses were not shouldered though but that’s fairly fine for everybody.

Dear Diary: Here are the 7 things I picked up from a spontaneous escapade.

So just a few days back, Jee, a dear friend of mine, invited me on an out-of-town spontaneous escapade. Thrilled of this spontaneous idea, I decided to go with him. I also tagged along my PIC (partner-in-crime) so he can meet these awesome buddies that I have. We did not discuss any further details of the escapade (estimated budget, itinerary, food preparation, etc). That night, I just packed my things: my rashguard, spare underwear, towel and some vanity kits that I tend to bring along with me anywhere I go. I even squeezed the remaining money I have left from the sideline job I had. And on the following day, we geared ourselves up for the long day ahead.

The FUNTEEM Bohol Escapade: Stranded backpackers be like

went on a vacation across my island a day ahead an approaching storm. Sounds challenging? Yeah, but that’s not the worst part. The worst part is I went there on the last week of December which means New Year is just around the corner and I got stranded in an island, away from my family, and with no cash at hand! Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to me. I thought I’m gonna spend my new year stranded in an island. Well of course, things got better later on. I could just laugh at this experience now.
