For the second day in our Toledo Escapade, the gang went to Spring Park Mountain Resort in Cantabaco, Toledo City. From Luray II, we rode a bus to Brgy DAS which costs 20php per head. Getting a bus from Luray II was not easy because most of the buses are already occupied and there were only few buses that will pass by from time to time. From Brgy. Don Andres Soriao (DAS) we had a short trip via a motorcycle to Cantabaco. The fare was 10php per head. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the beautifully crafted signage saying that we already arrived in our destination. We were immediately entertained by the staff. Entrance fee was 75php per person for adult and children above 3ft, 50php for children 3ft and below. Very affordable. Since we were only staying for around two hours, we decided not to rent a table. Tables are worth 150php and Cottages are worth 200php.
We then changed into our swimming clothes and went inside the pool. The pool water was really cold. I was freezing for the first few minutes but later on, I was able to adjust to the temperature. My colleagues said that the source of the pool water is from a spring. The poolside is really slippery so be extra careful. So far, I enjoyed swimming in there despite the cold water. It was indeed very refreshing and perfect for relaxation since loud noises are prohibited. However, Night swimming is not allowed. I think it is because there are lots of mosquitoes during late afternoon and nighttime.
From Spring Park, we rode a motorcycle to Landing. Fare was 15php. And then we rode a bus to Luray II. Travelling back to the city proper was just easy.
Will I recommend this place?
The place is still under renovation until this time of posting. During our time of visit, there were still two pools that are open for usage. The view was great. The pool area was also clean. However, the mosquitoes during nighttime are really disturbing. There were also comfort rooms and shower rooms nearby, however, these are not really clean and I almost cannot open the shower room door! In a scale of 1-10, 10 as the highest, I’d say that this place is a 7. I can’t wait to get back on this place once the renovation is completed. If you want to relax and stay out of the city air,I highly recommend this place but for daytime use only.
